Featured Experiences

Kitulgala Forest Reserve

Kitulgala is synonymous with white water rafting in Sri Lanka, being both beginner-friendly while also catering to more seasoned paddlers. The Kelani River that flows through Kitulgala is enshrouded by dense jungle and mountain ranges, blending natural beauty with adventure. As the most popular spot for whitewater rafting in Sri Lanka, numerous service providers offer the necessary equipment, guidance and expertise to make this experience accessible for everyone.

Kalu Ganga

An exhilarating route best left to the more experienced whitewater rafters, the Kalu Ganga emerges from the Sinharaja Rainforest and winds down a 20 km pass. While there are calmer sections during the initial journey that take you through the dense jungle, it eventually progresses to very intense rapids that will be difficult for beginners to navigate. It is less crowded than Kitulgala, which means you can enjoy a more secluded experience.

Mahaweli River

This is the longest river in Sri Lanka, stretching 335 km long and flowing through many picturesque locations around the country, from the highlands to the East Coast. It is not the most ideal spot for whitewater rafting due to its extreme rapids, with even its calmer stretches being quite demanding. However, it is well-known for its canoeing expeditions that offer a calmer and unique way to explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife habitats through which the Mahaweli River winds.
